Laure Adler

Laure Adler started her career at France Culture in 1974 as a journalist, then participated to several TV programs. In 1990, she became assignment manager for culture at the Elysée. In 1992, she was entitled director of documentaries and cultural programs on France 2. From 1999 to 2005, she has been the director of France Culture. Laure Adler is a writer and author of essays and story works, including Les premières journalistes (Payot) and Les femmes politiques (Seuil) as well as biographies: Marguerite Duras (Gallimard - Prix Femina de l’essai), Françoise Giroud (Grasset) and Sur les pas d’Hannah Arendt (Gallimard). In 2013, she published her 1st novel, titled Les immortelles (Grasset). She is the producer of the TV program L’heure bleue on France Inter.
