Guest of the Planche(s) Contact Festival in 2017

For several years, the photographic technique of Emma Charrin has been characterized by a fascination for the spectacle. Her love for theatre, mockery, play was involved into narration and cinematographic scenes in her first works, and then she focused more on a search about the notion of decor and its narration potential. Inspired by the history and the image of Deauville, and remaining coherent with her previous works, Emma Charrin questions the interruption of fiction in reality, studying people’s relation with the environment around them.
