Visit of the Saint Laurent church

The church is thought to date back at the beginning of the XII century, as confirmed by its oldest span, with an angevin arch and narrow windows. Built on the heights of Deauville, this sanctuary does not lack in beauty and greatness.

Abandoned during the Revolution, the Saint-Laurent church was the parish church of the old village of Dosville since ancient times. The parish church, without a priest since that time, has been temporarily linked to the church of Bénerville, until the creation of a "Nouveau Deauville", with the Saint-Augustin church, gave it again its religious independence.
The Saint-Laurent church has been included in the French Supplementary Historic Monument List on September 23rd, 1977, on the request of Michel d'Ornano, Mayor of Deauville at that time.
