Deauville - from August 1st to September 18th

THE COW PARADE FAIT SON CINÉMA IN DEAUVILLE
The Cow Parade is an exhibition of cow sculptures made in glass fibre, organized in several towns around the world. Since its creation in 1998, over 7,500 cows have been decorated by as many artists, 85 towns have welcomed them all around the world, 450 million fans have appreciated them and 35 million euros have been donated to charities.

In 2017, the Cow Parade joins the cinema. It is then organized in the Jardins de trois Hôtels Barrière in France. Cows will be placed in Deauville, in the Jardins de l’Hôtel Barrière Le Normandy from Tuesday, August 1st to September 18th, after having been exhibited at La Baule and Dinard.

THE CONCEPT OF THE COW PARADE FAIT SON CINÉMA IN 3 WORDS:
> ART: Cow sculptures are decorated by one or two cinema personalities and a real artist. These cows are transformed into masterpieces, and exhibited in the streets. The Cow Parade constantly renews itself.
> FUN: Coloured and creative cows are exhibited for the greatest joy of children and adults.
> GENEROSITY: At the end of each Cow Parade, artist-made cows are sold by auction to the profit of an Association. This year, the profits of the sale will be donated to association RÊVE DE CINÉMA in the presence of its president, Lambert Wilson, who is also the sponsor of La Cow Parade fait son cinéma.

2 GREAT INNOVATIONS IN 2017
> Small cows in a Cow Parade... A great idea! A herd of about 40 small cows, accompanied by some big cows, is found in the Jardins de l’Hôtel Barrière Le Normandy. Small cows are easier to customize, more beautiful to look, and easier to acquire.
> An imposed subject: Cinema! It’s the first time for the Cow Parade. This theme is not an easy challenge for the artists. Mission impossible? No. Thunderball? Yes! The challenge is overcome successfully, as the whole herd, both big and small cows, are fiercely decorated with the symbolic films chosen and "staged" by talented artists loving the 7th art.
