Jean Lods

Invited to the Books & Music Festival 2017

Born in 1938, Jean Lods spent his childhood and adolescence in the island of Réunion. Encouraged by Jean Cayrol and Raymond Queneau, he published in 1977 La part d’eau, the first of the five novels he published with Gallimard and Calmann-Levy, including La morte saison selected in 1980 by the jury of Renaudot and Femina and Quelques jours à Lyon, retained in the final selection of the Prix Renaudot 1994.
Le dernier colonel is his first novel published under Editions Phébus.
