TERRE D'EAUX FESTIVAL

The TERRE d’EAUX Festival draws its inspiration from the extraordinary land of the Seine Estuary and is the result of the constantly renewed encounter between land and water. During its 2nd edition, from May 14th to 29th 2016, this Festival celebrates water under all its forms in about one hundred events combining several genres. This festive and social event brings together the main strengths of the Estuary to reveal, through music, song, poetry, theatre, images, exhibitions, shows, sport performances and discovery, the exclusive heritage of this area.

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES FIVE SECTIONS:
- 100 places, 100 events fascinating the Estuary: poetic and ornithological strolls, fireworks, theatre readings, photographic exhibitions, rallies with your family or street shows and many other surprises.
- The Great Crossing, on May 21st and 22nd, linking Deauville/ Le Havre to Fécamp by sea, as William the Conqueror did in 1066.
- The voices of the Estuary, on May 28th and 29th, gathering more than 500 choristers coming from throughout the region to sing the praises of the Estuary.
- Armchairs on stage, a sightseeing tour following 23 armchairs placed along a coastal promenade and in the immediate vicinity of water areas.
- The Global Estuaries Forum, which will establish co-operation with other Estuary areas all over the world, to provide concrete answers to common development issues.

The Terre d'Eaux Festival is an event promoted by the Seine Estuary and local communities.
